"Games were played in the best of spirit and every game was officiated by qualified referees. The weather was quite kind to us and apart from two short sharp showers, the remainder of the day was bathed in warm sunshine, giving perfect playing conditions.

"During the afternoon session, non-competitive under-7 and under-8 matches where at the conclusion of the afternoon, with every player received a medal, whilst the competitive element came out for our Under 9, 10, 11 and 12 age groups where winners and runners-up medals were awarded."

The event attracted 500 Jewish children.
