Colder air affecting northern areas, but cloud and rain in the south Thursday An unsettled day across Spain and Portugal with cloud and outbreaks of rain. Some of the rain could be heavy in places. France is going to be chilly and breezy in a brisk east wind, but should be mainly dry. The Low Countries and Germany will have a dry day with sunny spells and will be feeling cold too. Poland will be dry and cold too with more sunshine here, and this should extend into Hungary. Austria may see some snow showers and these will extend to Switzerland too. Some rain in northern Italy, turning to snow on the hills. Much of the country will be dry and breezy although there could be rain to the south and through Sicily. Greece will have some sunny spells and should be dry too and there will be more sunshine to come for much of Turkey too. Cloud and some patchy rain in eastern Turkey though. Rather foggy across Bulgaria and Romania. Fair for the Baltic States, some snow in Finland later with an increasing wind. More cloud and some light snow in northern Sweden, but dry to the south with sunny spells. More sunshine to come across Denmark and the far south of Norway.

Friday Low pressure bringing showers across Spain and Portugal, some of them heavy at times. Dry for France but chilly in the northeast wind. A breezy day across the Low Countries as well, cold here but dry. Staying dry across Germany and Poland and feeling cold in the sunshine. More dry weather with sunshine across Austria, Hungary and Switzerland. Northern parts of Italy will be dry with sunny spells, although central and southern parts of the country will have more cloud and outbreaks of rain. There will be more rain and cloud through Greece and this is going to be affecting southern parts of Turkey too. Northern Turkey, Bulgaria and Romania will be dry and chilly with some sunny spells. Cloud and drizzle affects the Baltic States and it will be breezy here. Finland will be cloudy with some outbreaks of snow over Finland. These outbreaks of rain continue to affect northern Norway and Sweden, whilst the south is going to be dry and bright. Denmark should be dry with sunny spells.
