Delvi Cid's four hits power Carolina to easy victory: Minor League Report

Columbus can't find offense in loss to Buffalo, Akron wins pitchers' duel with New Britain, Lake County falls in 11 innings to Dayton.

Advanced A Carolina Mudcats

Mudcats 12, Blue Rocks 1: Carolina LF Delvi Cid (.273) tripled and had three singles to outhit host Wilmington (Del.), 4-3, and the Mudcats won a Carolina League laugher.

C Tyler Cannon had three hits, five RBI and three runs, and SS Ronny Rodriguez (.261) had three hits and scored three times.

Four Carolina pitchers combined on the three-hitter. Right-hander Michael Goodnight (2-6, 4.55) started and gave up one run on two hits in six innings.

AAA Columbus Clippers

Bisons 3, Clippers 2: Columbus right-hander Corey Kluber (4-6, 4.14) allowed three runs (one earned) in six innings and 2B Jason Donald (.3234) had two hits as the Clippers lost an International League game in Buffalo, N.Y., on Thursday.

Kluber gave up 11 hits and walked three while fanning five.

AA Akron Aeros

Aeros 2, Rock Cats 1: Righty Steven Wright (5-2, 1.67) and righty Bryan Price (2.27, three saves) combined to throw a three-hitter and SS Juan Diaz (.245) hit his fourth homer of the season as the Aeros beat visiting New Britain in Eastern League action.

Wright allowed one run on two hits in seven innings. He walked five and struck out six.

Aeros CF Trevor Crowe (.429) doubled and had an RBI.

A Lake County Captains

Dragons 4, Captains 3, 11 innings: Lake County LF Zach MacPhee (.211) hit his first home run of the season and CF Luigi Rodriguez (.279) had three hits, but the Captains lost the Midwest League game to host Dayton.

Captains SS Francisco Lindor (.273) went 1-for-1 with three walks, an RBI and two stolen bases.

Shawn Morimodo (4.22) started for Lake County and threw five inings. The left-hander allowed one run on three hits and one walk.
