European Summary: Dry, warm south - Unsettled north, Jul 17 - 06:03

Warm and dry over southern Europe, but rain to the north Tuesday High pressure will be bringing a fair day to much of Spain and Portugal today. It should be dry in the southern half of France too with more sunshine, but some cloud and rain affects the far north. Italy will have a dry day with lots of sunshine here. It should be staying dry and sunny for Greece and Turkey too. Cloud and some rain in the Low Countries, a mix of sunshine and showers in northern Germany. Cloud and rain for southern Germany and blowing through Poland as well. Sunny spells and dry in Romania and Bulgaria. Low pressure in Scandinavia will bring unsettled weather. Cloud and outbreaks of rain in Finland. A few showers for the Baltic States. Heavy showers across Sweden. More showers in Denmark, but some cloud and rain across Sweden.

Wednesday High pressure is going to be giving plenty of fine and hot weather across Spain and Portugal. The fine weather spreads into France too with more sunshine here. Switzerland and Hungary as well as Austria. Plenty of sunshine in Italy and Greece too as well as Bulgaria and Romania. Breezier weather with broken cloud over northern France and the Low Countries. Cloud and drizzle in northern Germany too, but the south should be fine and dry. Some cloud and rain spreading into Poland, together with brisk winds. Low pressure over Scandinavia will bring cloud and outbreaks of rain here. Most of the rain across Norway, with heavy showers forming through Sweden. Cloud increasing later in the Baltic States with some heavy showers in Finland.
